All films on this page are for running on Standard/Regular 8mm Magnetic Sound Film Projectors (however they can be run on silent 8mm projectors also).  Standard 8mm sound films were manufactured from 1959 to the mid 1970's.

All  sound films are 200' (7 to 10 minutes at 24 fps) unless noted as being on 400' reels (15 to 20 minutes), black & white, in Excellent to Mint condition and in the original 5"x5" box (OB) unless otherwise noted. The boxes will generally be in excellent to near mint condition unless noted otherwise. Films not in original boxes will be indicated and will be in cans or Miniature Movie Classics (MC) boxes. A number in brackets ( ) next to a title indicates that I have more than one print of that title.

MAGNETIC

Castle Films were manufactured and sold to the home market from 1937 to the middle 1970's. They set the standard for professional editing and high quality in home movies. Cartoons and most travel and sports subjects are the complete version as theatrically released. Feature titles are 9 minute highlights scenes from the feature. All in the Original Box (OB) unless noted.

  • THE MUSIC BOX - 1932 Laurel and Hardy Academy Award winning comedy. The Laurel & Hardy Moving Co. have a challenging job on their hands (and backs): hauling a player piano up a monumental flight of stairs to Prof. von Schwarzenhoffen's house. Excellent condition on 3x200' reels - $39
  • BEAU HUNKS - 1931 Laurel and Hardy comedy. Jilted by his girlfriend, "Jeanie-Weenie," Oliver joins the Foreign Legion to forget, bringing Stanley along with him. Excellent used condition featurette on 2x400' reels - $59

  • THE CHIMP - 1931 Laurel and Hardy comedy. In lieu of back wages, the defunct circus the Stanley and Oliver have been working for pay them off with a flea circus and a trained chimpanzee named "Ethyl." Unfortunately, that's also the name of their landlord's wife, and after the boys sneak the ape into their room, the jealous man draws some unfortunate conclusions when he overhears Oliver ordering Ethyl to "come to bed."   • FLICKER FLASHBACKS #3 - Heritage Films. Very funny parody of old silent dramas with narration, music and effects; "Saved From Himself" and "The Curse of the Cigarette". In Mint condition - $39
  • BAMBI FALLS IN LOVE - Walt Disney feature excerpt. Faded red color. Mint in OB - $20
  • BRITISH PATHE NEWS - 1962. Torrey Canyon, oil spill. Like New, 200' - $29
  • IVANHOE - 1958-59. A Sydney Box Television Presentation (UK). Starring Roger Moore. The series began on UK television in January 1958 in the late afternoon Children’s Hour and continued shooting until that summer. With only fleeting references to Sir Walter Scott's original, 'Ivanhoe' the television series was full of swirling swords and derring-do. Supurb quality complete 8mm sound prints, about 450' on new Scherer metal reels and in cans. Have 3 different episodes:

  • FLYING DISC MAN FROM MARS - Several chapters from this classic 1950 republic serial are available in 8mm sound. These are very rare prints. All in very good used condition, some minor wear or lines. All on 400' reels in illustrated boxes. The following chapters are available:

Captain Celluloid, guardian of rare movie treasures, is committed to thwarting this crime.
